For one so small, you seem so strong My arms will hold you keep you safe and warm This bond between us can’t be broken I will be here don’t you cry----Phil Collins

(this post is for all those people..ok the one person who said there are too many birds on my blog)The sun was blazing, almost too bright for photography i thought. So i adjusted my camera and did a little shooting. TLOML is an expert in kampung glam pronounced glum and she would know the names of the buildings..i on the other hand just point and shoot.
I shot some of the pics as you can see in black and white, i like the pic of the man and his fan..would have been better if i had composed the shot abit more but i was too shy to ask him if i could take his picture so i just snapped and fled.

working conditions.
I fear that you my dear readers may be in for a large number of sunbird pictures as i try and improve my skills. I took alot of this little bird( i was actually trying to photograph the roof ) as it hopped around a butterfly tree chirping away, devil may care. The sun was in a good spot but the bird was actually a bit high up in the tree for really good detail it was no where near as close as the birds in Mandai Orchid Garden. Any how all pics have been cropped and reduced in size for posting.

Philip and i were stalking the sun in more ways then one today. We went to the Mandai Orchird Garden again this morning to try and photograph some sun birds, both the Olive backed and Crimson variety. I took almost 300 pictures and was very excited to see the shots on the big screen but alas i was to be disappointed. While my composition of the subjects was OK, i used a faster iso to compensate for the poor lighting conditions and this is where things when wrong. The pictures came out grainy to my disappoint. I am fairly happy with the performance of my new sigma lense though, it handled well and was pretty ok even at 300mm. Anyhow looks like i shall make a return trip to the Mandai Orchid Garden!
