One year on...pepper

On dec 5th 2005 pepper turned 1yr old in human years..in doggy years she is a ripe old 7 going on 14. Sometime after chinese new year last year this little bundle of fur came into our lives and it was one of the best things we have done together as a couple. We agonized over the idea of getting a dog, we had gone and seen so many puppies and we both didnt think it was a wise choice..with work and the fact that we were in our comfort zone would this be too big a task for us to manage? would we get bored of the dog after awhile? would we fight over who has to do what? After a year i am happy to say our fears were totally misplaced, from the day she put her tiny little paws into her new home she has brought joy into our lives, does she know what she does for us? i doubt it. When the two philips and i went to look at dogs that sunday afternoon and they took zorro(her brother) home this little bundle of baboon energy won me over, and the next day when Tloml set eyes on her and started to tear i knew that my wife was hooked too.
When we left her in the shop that night and went home we talked about all the problems that we might face but we both could hardly sleep for thinking of her all alone in her tiny cage...we told the man we would be back on wens and as we drove up to the shop i was so scared that she would be gone but lo and behold there she was waiting for her new mummy and daddy.
There is no greater feeling then coming home from a sucky day of work and finding my two fattys waiting for me. she sleeps at the foot of bed when i sleep, she wakes up when i do when i come out of the bathroom she is sitting there waitng for me, as i type this she is fast asleep on the chair next to me. Perfect? well she wont win any dog shows but she is perfect for us.

With half and hour to spare at lunctime i took a quick stroll around pongol park. It was really hot and while i was standing at the waters edge trying to shoot some barn swallow i heard a cry that sound like a cross between a duck a goose and very thick plastic being torn. Looking around for the origins of such "music" i spotted the yellow bittern.
For each of the exposures i tried adjusting my settings, mainly the aperture i played around with f/8-f/11
there was lots of wind and the sun was peeking out of the clouds every so often. All settings on manual except white balance. ISO 200 Focal Length 300mm. Once again let me know your thoughts on the pictures and if you have a preference.

After taking another look at the pics i took yesterday at the zoo i decided to post a few more.

I also noticed that when i viewed the pics at work everything seemed alot darker and not as clear at home! i needed to adjust my work comp monitor to get a better view! Anyway hope you like them. Aside from 1 or 2 pics i tried to capture head shots and get as close in as my 300mm would let me. All pics have been resized and cropped as weith every post

INDO_PURA 2006

As you can tell i went to the zoo today. I woke up early and was the first person to walk into the zoo! After covering the whole zooi met the members of the INDO_PURA tour group at 11 ish for another stroll round the zoo. Got back at 5!!!

Some members of the tour group enjoyed themselves more then others as can be seen by the pictures.:)

where the wind blows

Looking at the pic of the blue kyin my earlier post i cound not help but think how nice it would be to have some cows in the field or maybe even a windmill...so i put a windmill in there. Please dont focus on the poor cloning work i have done. lol

Blue Skies...................

Well i am back at work, after abit of a break due to illness its back in the saddle again. I actually came back for a day on tuesday as i had to fill in for my manager who needed the day off. During my lunch break i took a short walk and took the first three pics. They are nothing much to look at but i took the first two just to show you in case you didnt notice the blue skies we had on tuesday.

Anyhow i hope to take more pictures over the weekend, tom we

have a doctors appointment for TLOML and the little bambino which
for the first time last night i FELT MOVING!!! Its very exciting stuff,
we are around 4months away from delivery!

Have a cuppa

When you have a mumps like disease and are given 6days of mc which means you cant go gamboling around the world(ok singapore) taking pictures...it sucks. So instead of taking pics on the outside i took some on the inside. The coffee cups you see here were a gift to my parents on the occasion of their wedding in 1962(who gave them is not important..cant really remember since i wasnt there). I have always admired these german made coffee cups, by their size i assume they were for expresso though i am no coffee expert. As long as its black and hot i will drink it.

Pepper And ME

Its just been Pepper and I at home since thurs..i went to the doctor and was told that i have a mumps like infection so TLOML had to move back to her folks place leaveing me and the fatty at home.....Yesterday was horrible as i had a migrane so i couldnt do anything all day, my mum brought some food over alone with alison, megan and mikey but i ad t owear a mask so they didnt stay long lol i dont think mikey liked the mask. Just took these two pics of pepper as she tries to sleep on the chair next to me...as i type this she is snoring softly heheh so cute lah
