I wont say much about today here as i will let TLOML do it on her blog. Just thought i would post some of the pics i took of the family today. All pics have been cropped and resized, if you want the originals let me know. I can email them to you :)
For one so small, you seem so strong My arms will hold you keep you safe and warm This bond between us can’t be broken I will be here don’t you cry----Phil Collins

I sneaked(TLOML and i had a discussion on this word..and if there was such a word as snuck) out for an hour at around 3 today, well actually since i didnt go for lunch i reckon its alright. Took some pretty lame pics, not sharp at all. Anyhow i am trying to catalogue the many bird species in an around my work place. The first bird (top left) is a Barn Swallow also known as a Eurasian Barn Swallow.

Yes I know, its not a good picture..under exposed, cant see the eye and all sorts of stuff BUT it is my first pic of a SUNDA WOODPECKER, and i was very excited. I only managed one quick shot as the grass cutter turned on his machine and every bird in a half mile radius flew off.
Its 17:42 on a saturday afternoon and i am back in the office awaiting the arrival of a VIP who is coming for a chit chat session with the residents. The chickens are running around headless as usual, so i decided to de-stress by blogging. I finished work around 1230 and was picked up by TLOML and the Moo which was lovely! We met Doo for lunch at Mooi Chin(Thanks for lunch folks), sigh i love that place......chicken chop.yum yum yum. From Mooi Chin we took the train(yes we left two cars in the car park) and went to China Town. AS expected it was chaos people all over the place, mind you it was not the worst i have seen it. I havent done any photography in crowds for awhile and it is really different from sitting quietly and waiting for a bird to land. My shots of people turned out poorly as you can see, with too much going on in the background.

The Colours are really fantastic, lots of reds as to be expected, along with orange and yellow. The thing i noticed this year was the fewer number of stalls selling pork and duck, when my office was in sago lane i would look out the window
