Polaroid - Colour

The snap shos in colour really tend to evoke a very 1970s feeling both in the tone and colour of the picture. Its interesting as i am using a very current film/paper and yet the impression I get is from the past.
Update- I have been staring at the colour pictures and they really are so different from the black and white ones. It feels as if in colour every pretense has been stripped away leave the subject laid bare in the frame. While in black and white you can still hide within the shadows. I find this fascinating.

Polaroid Big Shot

My new camera, the polaroid Big Shot. Dating from around 1973 this was built as a portraiture camera.

hues

Its intentional. blowing out the colours, grain, its all intentional.

I am seriously thinking of printing these in a3, framing them and hanging them behind the bar

iphone stand M2

made a few modifications to my iphone stand mock up. note the use of 1 miltary garter and the little touch up required around the speaker
and it all packs nice and flat.
More modifications to come lol

iphone stand

My little iphone stand. I downloaded an app called TVU that allows me to watch TV on my phone. In order to multi task (watch tv and work on the comp and the same time) I made a little stand. :) Modifications to come.

F1 Sepang

On day 2 i woke up early and went for a walk around the quiet little hamlet of Salat Tinggi. The graffiti pictures are to be found at a little second hand clothing shop, selling mainly used jeans and other stuff.
The below picture is my current wallpaper.

Below the world famous "Restoran Roi Roi", world famous because on any given night there were people from Belgium, France, England, Singapore and many other places. Packed by 7.30 nightly the eating and drinking went on till the wee hours nightly. At least during race season.
Below, the other end of the block. Just around the corner from here is where two of my companions decided to partake of some dubious wan tan. It got a 5/10 and shall never be visited by our merry band again.
Rather out of place but the small area that Salat Tinngi covers is home to 3 playgrounds. Most days see the kids playing soccer on the village green as it were. Rain or shine the kids were out there kicking the ball about. It was very tempting to play in the mud with them.
Ominus Clouds gathered during free practice.
I only brought an 18-55mm lens this time( i was just too lazy) so i really didnt get any good close up shots.

In case your wondering, i am not a ferrari fan. It just happened that these shots came out clearer then the others.
During free practice you can waltz in and sit on any seat in the grandstand. So we went first to the area fronting the pits.

Friends.
All in all it was an awesome trip, aside from the timing which was the easter weekend. The food was great, the company was even better. Thanks to the Doo for organizing it all, to law for proving the transport (and betting tips that saw my hotel bill covered) to U.Ben our very own Ice Man who proved once again its not what you know but who that counts! Till next years race...keep your motors running....
