Hanoi 2

Above a typical scene, this one at breakfast but around 10 people drift out for tea at these roadside cafes and at lunch time as well.

The guy drawing was actually sketching me while i was photographing him.
Came across a little wee wee.

The lady on the left is selling bread, while the lady on the right is selling pork.
I really like this one of the guy in the hat with the bike passing him by.

Above is the charcoal delivery man.

One of my favorite pics is of this lady smiling while i shoot. When i walked up to her to show her the picture she could not stop giggling away.

I came across the Cathedral of St Joseph by accident. When i looked at the building itself i was rather disappointed though it is a beautiful building the walls are peeling and it looks like it was bathed in acid rain. I did not expect much better inside but i was to be truly surprised. The stain glass panel on the right is my fav picture from Hanoi. I was also surprised to find the crowd spilling out onto the courtyard for saturdays mass.

Dogs of the Old Quarter.

Long Bien Bridge. I could not really take many shots here as light was fading fast and i wanted to cross the Red River before it got dark. I found this particular place rather moving, with the wind blowing strong and cool..as well is the significance of the bridge itself

The view of the red river, when it floods it fills up the flood pan to the walls of hanoi.

Happy New Year

So another year older.
For all the good things that happened 2007 will still be in my mind one of the worst if not the worst. For all the joy and laughter 2007 will be the year of tears. I do not know what 2008 will bring, i do know what 2007 has taken. The loss is a great one, recovery? there is no such thing there is only forward motion.
