"For the poor there is no way out..."
I thought long and hard about that caption and settled on it yesterday BUT i didnt stop thinking about it, it sort of hit me this morning.
I am an optimist i always try and look at the glass as half full, try. Yet when i looked at this shot the caption was one of defeat, that there is no way out BUT i was wrong. For the guy in the picture who is a cleaner in my estate, he may be poor BUT he has dignity and he has HOPE. He is doing a JOB that no one else wants, that the average singaporean would look down on BUT here he is doing it to the best of his ability(the picture does not capture the severe limp he has). The Arrow on the WAY OUT sign is pointing at him and saying "there is always a way out"

Rewards in this life is nothing but matrials that we cannot bring with us when we pass on... Only memories that we create in others will live on in this cold, cruel world....

yup... i dunno what's wrong with me... but after that fateful trip to vietnam... i feel that life simple things are the best... no point in trying to please people who try to flatten u whip u or do their best to irritate the %^$& out of u... it's my life... and it's hw i want to live it! though poor and broken, i still have joy.
