My new camera, the polaroid Big Shot. Dating from around 1973 this was built as a portraiture camera.

F1 Sepang
On day 2 i woke up early and went for a walk around the quiet little hamlet of Salat Tinggi. The graffiti pictures are to be found at a little second hand clothing shop, selling mainly used jeans and other stuff.
The below picture is my current wallpaper.
Below the world famous "Restoran Roi Roi", world famous because on any given night there were people from Belgium, France, England, Singapore and many other places. Packed by 7.30 nightly the eating and drinking went on till the wee hours nightly. At least during race season.
Below, the other end of the block. Just around the corner from here is where two of my companions decided to partake of some dubious wan tan. It got a 5/10 and shall never be visited by our merry band again.
Rather out of place but the small area that Salat Tinngi covers is home to 3 playgrounds. Most days see the kids playing soccer on the village green as it were. Rain or shine the kids were out there kicking the ball about. It was very tempting to play in the mud with them.
I only brought an 18-55mm lens this time( i was just too lazy) so i really didnt get any good close up shots.
In case your wondering, i am not a ferrari fan. It just happened that these shots came out clearer then the others.
During free practice you can waltz in and sit on any seat in the grandstand. So we went first to the area fronting the pits.
Friends.
All in all it was an awesome trip, aside from the timing which was the easter weekend. The food was great, the company was even better. Thanks to the Doo for organizing it all, to law for proving the transport (and betting tips that saw my hotel bill covered) to U.Ben our very own Ice Man who proved once again its not what you know but who that counts! Till next years race...keep your motors running....

Good Morning Citzens. Its Easter and Race Day.
Yesterday was a good and chaotic day of racing, rain was followed by more rain. This was followed by a great dinner at our ever beloved Roi Roi and some great soccer action. 6-1 won me lots of money :) thanks to dare i say it Mr.Awesome and his wise picks of the night. Happy Easter all!

day 2 sepang
It was a good day. The weather played havoc with us but overall it was a good day. With a Mclaren in front in both practices it was a good day. Ok fair enough it was only a practice session but still lol.
MSC boy do i hate that guy but watching him glide his car around really is a sight to behold. We met up with Brads brother Darren at the track and he was impressed with the noise of it all, he had to watch the action with his fingers in his ears. Once again dinner was at Roi Roi restaurant, two different pork dishes, baby kai lan, prawns and i am cant remember what else. This guy should get 3 stars just for food, and its a family place so his kids help out as well. I am way impressed with the place i can tell you that.
I woke up early this morning so took a walk around the suburbs, its a nice little place the people were friendly with waves and lots of good mornings being softly spoken. It was nice to see neighbours chit chatting with each other in the yards and families walking in the park. The chickens were all over the place as were the dogs , there is something about walking or living in the shadow of nature that we have lost in singapore. My grandfather lived about 15km from here on a mountain surround by his own land and being here reminds me of that place.
off to breakfast now! blog later.
Miss my girls, its holy saturday and i am not there..its on my mind alot.

F1
I am blogging this from Salat Tinggi in Malaysia.
After a nice drive from Singapore, which included 1 stop for food, 1 stop for drinks, 1 stop for petrol, 2 yes that's right 2 stops at the police benevolent fund and 1 stop at the world famous Baba Nonya restaurant in nilai(asam pedas, calamari, brinjals, chicken rendang and two cokes) we arrived at our home for the next 4 nights, The Empress Hotel Sepang.
Perched in our room on the executive floor law and I were rather pleased with our accomodation until we went to Doo's room and discovered that he was in a palatial suite, with an office space, dining table, lounge area and 2 washrooms. Yes we were jealous! but after years of patronage here the Doo deserves it!
We went for a walk around the little shopping area and now are back in the room resting :) Tonight its the Roi Roi Restaurant for dinner, i have been waiting for their pork chops for a year..i think i agreed to come for the f1 just for the chops!
